NY Pie is looking for Prep Cooks for our new Capitol View location in downtown Nashville! NY Pie is a fun, family-style pizzeria with four Nashville area locations. We are looking for people with a Wild Hospitality mindset to add to our team! We offer the best New York style pizza in Nashville in a warm and friendly environment. We offer competitive pay at $17-$22 per hour including tips (based on experience; potential to earn more if you learn multiple roles). This position offers a flexible full or part-time schedule.

Description: 
  • Prepares ingredients and sets up workstations, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently during service. 
  • Key duties include washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients, following recipes for sauces or dressings, and maintaining strict sanitation standards. 
  • Stock inventory and assist with cleaning, working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

Core Responsibilities: 
  • Ingredient Prep: Cleaning, peeling, chopping, and slicing fruits, vegetables, and meats. 
  • Station Setup: Setting up workstations with all necessary ingredients and utensils. 
  • Recipe Assistance: Measuring ingredients and preparing basic sauces, dressings, or accompaniments. 
  • Inventory & Stocking: Organizing stock and notifying chefs of low inventory. 
  • Sanitation: Adhering to food safety guidelines, sanitizing stations, and washing kitchen equipment. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 
  • Experience: Previous experience in a food service role 
  • Knowledge: Understanding of food sanitation regulations and safety standards. 
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, fast-paced environment. 
  • Schedule Flexibility: Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, communication, and ability to follow recipes.
