NY Pie is looking for Pizza Maker for our new Capitol View location in downtown Nashville! NY Pie is a fun, family-style pizzeria with four Nashville area locations. We are looking for people with a Wild Hospitality mindset to add to our team! We offer the best New York style pizza in Nashville in a warm and friendly environment. We offer competitive pay at $18-$25 per hour including tips (based on experience; potential to earn more if you learn multiple roles). This position offers a flexible full or part-time schedule.
Description:
- Prepares, assembles, and bakes pizzas according to recipes, working in fast-paced kitchens.
- Responsibilities include preparing dough and toppings, operating ovens, maintaining sanitation standards, and providing customer service.
- Key skills required are speed, accuracy, food safety knowledge, and teamwork
Core Responsibilities:
- Pizza Preparation: Hand-stretching dough, saucing, topping, and baking pizzas consistently.
- Ingredient Prep: Preparing dough, chopping vegetables, making sauces, and slicing meats.
- Oven Management: Operating and monitoring wood-fired, gas, or conveyor ovens to ensure proper cooking.
- Kitchen Sanitation: Cleaning workstations, tools, and equipment, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels and informing supervisors of low inventory.
- Customer Service: Managing orders and, in some settings, taking orders or handing food to customers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience as a pizza maker required.
- Knowledge: Understanding of food sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
- Schedule Flexibility: Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, communication, and ability to follow recipes.
- Must be able to read orders from tickets and/or screen.
