NY Pie is looking for Ovens/Expo Team Members for our Franklin location. NY Pie is a fun, family-style pizzeria with four Nashville area locations. We are looking for people with a Wild Hospitality mindset to add to our team! We offer the best New York style pizza in Nashville in a warm and friendly environment. We offer competitive pay at $19-$21 per hour including tips (based on experience; potential to earn more if you learn multiple roles). This position offers a flexible full or part-time schedule. Daytime flexibility preferred.

Description:

Responsible for managing ovens, preparing, seasoning, and cooking food items in various stations according to restaurant specifications, ensuring high-quality dishes are produced efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They maintain station cleanliness, manage inventory, and uphold safety regulations, acting as a crucial part of the kitchen team.

Core Responsibilities:

Station Setup: Setting up and stocking assigned cooking stations with all necessary supplies.
Food Preparation: Prepping, chopping, and portioning ingredients before service.
Cooking & Plating: Cooking menu items to order and plating them in a timely manner.
Sanitation & Safety: Complying with food safety regulations, cleaning stations, and maintaining equipment.
Collaboration: Working with team members to ensure all food comes out simultaneously.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in a food service role.
Knowledge: Understanding of food sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
Schedule Flexibility: Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, communication, and ability to follow recipes. Must be able to read orders from tickets and/or screen.

Expeditor:

Description:

Acts as the vital link between the kitchen (back of house) and service staff (front of house), ensuring food is prepared correctly, garnished properly, and delivered to guests promptly. They manage the \"pass\" (plating area), communicate orders to chefs, and coordinate with servers to keep kitchen flow efficient.

Core Responsibilities:

Order Coordination: Reviewing incoming tickets and organizing them to ensure all items for a table are finished simultaneously.
Quality Control: Inspecting every dish for plating, garnishing, temperature, and accuracy against the order before it leaves the kitchen.
Communication: Acting as the central hub, passing information about special requests, dietary restrictions, or ticket times between chefs and servers.
Table Flow Management: Coordinating with servers to pick up food immediately, managing the pace of service.
Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean and organized, safe, and hygienic \"pass\" area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Previous food service industry experience (server or line cook) is required.
Multitasking: Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
