FOH Cashier
NY Pie is looking for Cashiers for our new Capitol View location in downtown Nashville! NY Pie is a fun, family-style pizzeria with four Nashville area locations. We are looking for people with a Wild Hospitality mindset to add to our team! We offer the best New York style pizza in Nashville in a warm and friendly environment. We offer competitive pay at $16-$25 per hour including tips (based on experience; potential to earn more if you learn multiple roles). This customer service position offers a flexible full or part-time schedule.

Description: 
Manage the guest dining experience by greeting customers, taking accurate food/beverage orders, responsible for accurately processing customer payments, managing the POS system, ensuring register accuracy, answering menu inquiries, and coordinating with kitchen staff to guarantee a seamless dining and takeout experience. 

Core Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greeting guests warmly, answering menu questions, and providing recommendations. 
  • Order Accuracy: Utilizing POS systems (Toast) to submit food and beverage orders accurately to the kitchen. 
  • Expediting & Packing: Ensure takeout orders are properly packed and coordinate with kitchen or waitstaff so that complete meals are delivered to the right guests 
  • Cash Handling: Totaling bills, processing payments (cash/credit), and returning change. 
  • Maintenance: Cleaning and resetting tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining station cleanliness.  

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Communication: Strong verbal skills for interacting with guests and strong affinity to work closely with team members. 
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, often 6+ hours. 
  • Multitasking: Managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Menu Knowledge: Familiarity with ingredients to address food allergies and dietary needs. 
  • Experience: Previous experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles is preferred.  
  • Certifications: Must possess or be willing/able to secure proper service certification from the state (restrictions apply).
