NY Pie is looking for Bartenders for our new Capitol View location in downtown Nashville! NY Pie is a fun, family-style pizzeria with four Nashville area locations. We are looking for people with a Wild Hospitality mindset to add to our team! We offer the best New York style pizza in Nashville in a warm and friendly environment. We offer competitive pay at $18-$27 per hour including tips (based on experience; potential to earn more if you learn multiple roles). This cook position offers a flexible full or part-time schedule.

Description: 
Responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking accurate food orders, serving meals, delivering exceptional customer service, managing bar inventory, and adhering to safety and sanitation regulations. Key duties include crafting drinks, processing payments, checking identification, and maintaining a clean, stocked bar in a fast-paced environment. Must be 18 years of age to apply.  

Core Responsibilities:
  • Drink Preparation: Mixing ingredients to create classic and innovative cocktails, pouring beer/wine, and preparing non-alcoholic beverages. 
  • Customer Service: Greeting guests warmly, taking orders, engaging with patrons, and making recommendations. 
  • Bar Maintenance: Keeping the bar, glassware, and utensils clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift. 
  • Operations & Compliance: Following state and local liquor laws, checking IDs to prevent service to minors, and monitoring for intoxication. 
  • Cash Handling: Processing payments via POS systems (Toast) and managing tabs. 
  • Inventory Control: Monitoring inventory levels, restocking liquor, mixers, and garnishes.  

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Prior experience as a bartender in a restaurant setting required.
  • Bar Knowledge: Strong knowledge of mixology, spirits, beer, and wine. 
  • Menu Knowledge: Familiarity with ingredients to address food allergies and dietary needs. 
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and strong affinity for collaborating with team members. 
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage high-volume service efficiently and calmly. 
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift, carry, and manage kegs or beverage cases. 
  • Certifications: Must possess or be willing/able to secure proper service certification from the state (restrictions apply).
